Never Miss It!

NEVER MISS IT is an esoteric music program here on KUTZ that casts a wide net in search of
ultra‐thrilling sounds, with no bias toward any particular genre. On Wednesdays from 10–11
p.m., join us as we uncover curious gems ranging from the contemporary to the lost and
forgotten. Be it avant‐rock from Japan, hardcore punk from Brazil, progressive electronic from
France, shoegaze from Singapore, or mysterious library music from countless sought‐after
imprints, everything is fair game on NEVER MISS IT. Furthermore—and perhaps most
importantly—we also explore many captivating sounds coming out of our very own Sacramento,
both presently and from years gone by. Please join us on Wednesday nights as we make sure to

Zack Bissell is a local musician who grew up in the greater Sacramento area and discovered a
love for radio in the early 1990s, when he assembled his own radio show mixtapes on a portable
cassette recorder similar to the one seen in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. He currently plays
in the bands Gentleman Surfer, Quinine, and Dogs Barking. His work with these groups have
taken him all over the world. Zack previously hosted The Socratic Mollusk on KUTZ back in
2017–18. An avid record collector, he’s quick to say he always clearly remembers the ones that
got away more than the ones that didn’t.
